Hi everyone!

I’m Jenda—a nature lover, adventure seeker, and proud dad of two amazing kids. My loyal companions on the road (and on our daily walks) are my two Hungarian Vizslas. Born in the final third of the last century in Moravia, I’ve been lucky to have a wonderful family that shares my passion for travel. As the kids grow, we’re involving them in more active expeditions, hoping they’ll inherit our shared love for adventure.

The Journey to a Second Life

In 2013, I faced a life-altering challenge that changed my perspective forever: I underwent a kidney transplant. This pivotal moment wasn’t just a battle for my health; it became a springboard for a new approach to life. Despite certain medical limitations, I decided to live every day to the fullest and never give up on my passions. I believe my journey can inspire others facing health challenges to keep dreaming and stay active.

My Love for Walking and Roaming

Over the last few years, I’ve completely fallen in love with power walking—it’s become my go-to way to unwind after a long day at the office. Daily walks with our dogs mean at least 10 kilometers (about 6 miles) of movement, giving me the space to clear my head and recharge.

Beyond that, I’ve discovered a passion for multi-day treks that take me to unknown places, both at home and abroad. Roaming through nature brings me a sense of freedom and peace, and it’s proof that health restrictions don’t have to be a barrier to an active lifestyle.

Traveling as a Family Passion

Discovering new places, meeting people, and experiencing different cultures—that’s what keeps me going. As a family, we seek out adventure whether we’re camping in the mountains, exploring new cities, or tasting local specialties. Every trip is an opportunity to learn something new and share unforgettable moments.

Respect for Nature

On all my travels, I strictly follow and promote the Leave No Trace principles. I believe that only by respecting nature can we preserve its beauty for future generations. You can find a detailed guide in my article on Leave No Trace. Will our children have places to wander in the future? That depends on how we treat nature today.
