Stezka Českem: Day 2 – Forests, Wind, and Kraslice

A Comfortable Night in the Tent

Tonight was awesome! We slept in the tent for the first time, and it was absolutely brilliant. Knowing how to work the sleeping pad and quilt made a huge difference. I woke up around five in the morning. We got up again at 6 and were on the trail by 7. After we left, you couldn’t even tell anyone had slept there.

Back to the Czech Republic and On to Plesná

We retraced our steps a bit because the map showed a better route, and we headed back into the Czech Republic towards Plesná.

Beautiful forests and meadows accompanied us all day, but so did an unpleasantly cold wind.

Lunch in Plesná and the Hike to Vysoký kámen

We arrived in Plesná too early, and the restaurants were still closed. Instead of waiting, we stocked up on water and food. We found a spot for lunch that wasn’t the prettiest, but it was sheltered from the wind and the sun was shining.

After lunch, we set off for Vysoký kámen and headed towards Kraslice.

Evening in Kraslice

We finished the day in Kraslice. After three days on the trail, we took advantage of the accommodation with a shower, which was very welcome. We also enjoyed a hearty dinner.

We’re looking forward to another day of our journey on the Stezka Českem!
