Frosty Morning and the Start of the Trail
We woke up to a frosty morning. Ice coated the tents, inside and out. Because of that, we didn’t hit the trail until around 7:45 AM. We were greeted by beautiful mountain meadows, forests, and the overall splendor of the Ore Mountains.
Boží Dar and the Peat Bogs
We reached Boží Dar just after 10 AM. We didn’t miss the interesting peat bogs along the way.
In Boží Dar, we treated ourselves to a snack – coffee and blueberry pie. We refilled our water and food supplies and headed towards Klínovec.
Transitioning to Stage II
By climbing Klínovec, we officially entered Stage II of the Stezka Českem.
Wandering the Landscape
We continued to meander through the landscape, often forging our own path.
Night Shelter in a Gazebo
Finally, after 7 PM, we found a spot to sleep in a gazebo. We were curious how we’d sleep there. Today was tough, and we were contemplating slowing down our pace.
Despite the day’s challenges, we enjoyed beautiful views and the diversity of the Ore Mountains. We’re looking forward to what the next day on our Stezka Českem journey will bring.
